Give Your Skin A Little Love Honey Lemon Coconut Sugar Scrub

I remember as a child touching or holding my Grandma´s hands and feeling her soft skin on mine. She had the tightest grip, but the softest skin. My mom would always tell me Grandma had the prettiest hands because every night she would scrub them with sugar and lemon.
I was recently thinking about Grandma’s natural beauty scrub because last Sunday I shook someone’s hand and she was appalled by my hands feeling so rough LOL. Apparently, she thought my hands were in a terrible state because she took a hand cream from her purse and gave it to me as a gift. I thought it was hilarious.
Anyway, thanks to this lovely observation, I’m now writing a beauty post inspired by my lovely hand incident and my Grandma’s beauty secret, there are two more ingredients in this recipe, but they make it that much better. I’m sure you will love it as much as I do! My hands are definitely feeling much softer! I will be sure to shake that lady’s hand again next Sunday and see what she thinks now haha.
INGREDIENTS:
·         1 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
·         2 TBSP HONEY
·         2 TBSP ORGANIC COCONUT OIL

·         1 LEMON

ADD COCONUT OIL TO SUGAR
Sugar is great for a facial because it exfoliates the skin and coconut oil has so many properties; I’m in love with it! In this case it will work as a great moisturizer.

ADD THE HONEY
Honey has natural antibiotic properties and leaves skin noticeably softer and moister.

ADD THE LEMON JUICE
Lemon refreshes the skin, clears and prevents acne and lightens and evens out skin.

MIX IT ALL TOGETHER AND VOILÁ: QUICK AND EASY BEAUTY SCRUB!

APPLY TO HANDS, FEET, FACE, WHEREVER! I DID A FACIAL AND LEFT IT ON ABOUT TEN MINUTES AND MY SKIN FELT SOOO GOOD. REMEMBER TO RINSE WELL SO YOUR SKIN WON’T BE STICKY LATER. I GUARANTEE YOU WILL LOVE THE SOFT GLOWING LOOK AFTERWARDS ;)

With lots of love and yours truly,
Samantha

Thanksgiving

Now that Monday has arrived and the Halloween festivities have come to an end, it is time to focus on my most favorite part of the year!!

It’s that time when we all take one day out of our entire year to just be grateful.

Thanksgiving is such a wonderful holiday for every single person.  Get together with as many friends/family as you can, have a dinner, and write down or say the things you are simply grateful for.

Some of you may see on your Face book pages, or may know of someone who writes down publicly or personally each day up until thanksgiving something they are grateful for.  Try it out! I choose to do that personally, but it is such an easy way to make your self extremely happy.

We each have something to be grateful for.  Take that moment and challenge yourself to be EXTRA grateful for what you have.  Think of your entire year, the ups and the downs, the triumphs and the let downs.  There is something to be grateful for in all. Whether they be lessons learned, or another checkmark on your list of accomplishments.  SO, think of ways to be extra grateful this season, and realize how blessed you really are.  HAPPY NOVEMBER!

From your one and only,
Roz

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Rice Krispie Treat pumpkins

Happy HALLOWEEN from US!
Here is a totally cute HALLOWEEN treat recipe from us to you, enjoy!

This recipe is for Rice Krispie Treat pumpkins!

What you need:

  • Rice Krispies
  • Red/yellow food coloring to make orange
  • Butter
  • Vanilla extract
  • White marshmellows

I just followed the traditional Recipe to make the rice krispie treats, nothing fancy.

Melt 3 tbsp. butter on Med. heat pan
Add ½ tsp. vanilla extract and 5 cups marshmellows
Stir until the marshmellows are completely melted.
Add food coloring until you’ve made your desired orange.
Stir in 6 cups of Rice Krispies

Let it cool, and when it has cooled down enough spray some Pam on your hands and make some pumpkin shapes out of your batch.

Now just do it to the whole batch ( you can make big or little pumkins)

For decoration you can use anything.  You can use M&M’s for eyes, candy corn or whatever you desire.  This would be a REALLY fun Halloween treat for kids to help you make while they wait for nighttime to arrive.

I, however, melted some Hershey chocolate to decorate top part, and some knock-off Nutella to put eyes and a mouth.

Be so careful when melting the chocolate.  I put mine in a pan over the stove and let heat for maybe 3 minutes over med. heat.  Chocolate melts fast, and can burn even faster.

Then you decorate! Put on faces!

And there you go!  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
