Rice Krispie Treat pumpkins

Happy HALLOWEEN from US!
Here is a totally cute HALLOWEEN treat recipe from us to you, enjoy!

This recipe is for Rice Krispie Treat pumpkins!

What you need:

  • Rice Krispies
  • Red/yellow food coloring to make orange
  • Butter
  • Vanilla extract
  • White marshmellows

I just followed the traditional Recipe to make the rice krispie treats, nothing fancy.

Melt 3 tbsp. butter on Med. heat pan
Add ½ tsp. vanilla extract and 5 cups marshmellows
Stir until the marshmellows are completely melted.
Add food coloring until you’ve made your desired orange.
Stir in 6 cups of Rice Krispies

Let it cool, and when it has cooled down enough spray some Pam on your hands and make some pumpkin shapes out of your batch.

Now just do it to the whole batch ( you can make big or little pumkins)

For decoration you can use anything.  You can use M&M’s for eyes, candy corn or whatever you desire.  This would be a REALLY fun Halloween treat for kids to help you make while they wait for nighttime to arrive.

I, however, melted some Hershey chocolate to decorate top part, and some knock-off Nutella to put eyes and a mouth.

Be so careful when melting the chocolate.  I put mine in a pan over the stove and let heat for maybe 3 minutes over med. heat.  Chocolate melts fast, and can burn even faster.

Then you decorate! Put on faces!

And there you go!  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
