SEQUIN elbow patch on a plain cardigan:

This way I did it is a bit time consuming.  HOWEVER, I know they sell already-sequined- fabric but they don’t here where I live so I bought a bag of diamondy looking sequins and I loved them so much that I sewed them on one by one J

OK, you need:

SEQUINS

needle/thread

cardigan

fabric to sew the sequins on
First you will cut out your shape. Either an oval or heart.  Don’t make it too big/too small. You might want to measure the width up to your sleeve size.  *a good tip: rub normal white glue on the edges to keep the edge of your shape from fringing.*

Start from the bottom, make your way around the heart clock-wise, or counter-clock wise.

I sewed mine on one facing up, the next facing down, and so on and so on. It was just easier for me this way.

Repeat this step for the entire shape.

Once you’re finished with the first layer, start the same way you did with the second layer.  Over lap the sequins a little, to ensure FULL sequin coverage. With no white spaces.

Continue J

Pretty soon you will see it all coming together.

It’s ok if you loose your heart shape while filling in your heart.

Soon, (well not that soon ;) ) you will have your 2 sequin heart shapes ready to sew onto your cardigan.

Put on your cardigan, and bend your elbows.  Have someone draw a dot right where your elbow creases.  This is how you will know where to sew on your hearts.

Once it’s done it looks So FAB.

It just really adds so much CHIC to this cardigan and I love it.

And that, ladies, is how you put a little sparkle into your wardrobe.

From your one&only,
Rozslin
